Shipping & Returns

Returns Policy

Chapman Marine Supply / BoatPartPros.com accepts returns for up to fifteen (15) days after shipment. Our return policy does not apply to the following goods: Electronics, open software, mapping/chart data cards, international orders, freight truck only items, and special order items. These items are not eligible for return, refund or exchange. Shipping charges (if any) are non-refundable and a 15% restocking fee could be applied. If your return is accepted by us, we will provide one of the following within a reasonable time: an exchange of merchandise for the item returned, a non-transferable merchandise credit, a credit to the payment card or original method of payment used to pay for the item, a check, or another remedy that we determine in good faith is appropriate in the circumstances. Customer must request a return merchandise authorization (RMA) by emailing us at accounting@chapmanmarine.com. A RMA number will be issued with instructions for returning the package within a reasonable time (normally 1-3 business days).

We Reserve the right to refuse returns that are sent COD or without a return authorization or show signs of undisclosed installation or use or missing parts or packaging or missing proof of purchase or missing UPC Code or have serial numbers that do not match our records.  If you do not comply with any or all conditions, we reserve the right to refuse the return or exchange or to impose different or additional conditions.

Defective Products

A prepaid return shipping label will be provided for defective items if deemed necessary by the manufacturer.  The customer must first contact the manufacturer for technical support to confirm the product is defective and that the product replacement is deemed necessary.  Please provide the name of the technician, serial number and details about the defect.  Return instructions and a label will be provided.

Non-Defective Product Returns

Eligible non-defective products may be returned for a full refund minus shipping paid and 15% restocking fee.  To be eligible for a return, your merchandise must be unused, unopened and must be in original packaging.  Non-defective returns that show signs of installation, use, missing parts, missing packaging, missing proof of purchase, missing UPC code or have serial numbers that do not match our records WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.  Customers are responsible for return shipping costs of non-defective returns.  Returns should be shipped using a trackable shipping service and purchase shipping insurance for items of value.  Chapman Marine Supply nor BoatPartPros.com are liable for lost or damaged return packages

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

Cancellations

Orders submitted online are processed immediately and may NOT be cancelled.  Customers will need to wait until you receive the merchandise to start a non-defective product return.


Shipping

Claims of shipment damage, incorrect or missing items or non-receipt of goods must be made within seven (7) days.  If the shipping carrier shows that the item was delivered then the customer must go back through the carrier to see where the item was delivered.  Did someone bring it into the house?  was it delivered to a neighbor?  Ask the delivery driver or service where it was delivered.

Customers are responsible for all costs associated with refused shipments including but not limited to; carrier fees, freight to the customer, service charges, restocking fees and return freight.

We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.

When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.

Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are flat fee or free shipping. Some products are shipped by weight and dimensions (overweight, oversized). Any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.
